The power to create lies within you

Did you know that it only takes 17 seconds to create a momentum? That’s an important fact to remember because your initial response upon waking in the morning can literally determine the rest of your day.

When you think about it, how much attention do we give to our initial morning response?  I bet not much.  We’re sleepy.  Droopy.  But remember this mantra: Energy Flows Where Attention Goes.

Tomorrow morning, do yourself a favor. Make sure the first thing you do is take notice of you. Where is your attention going?  Upon waking - what do you think about? How do you feel? What do you do? Because its these very initial movements of mind, emotions and body that create momentum for your next awake cycle.

Would you like to know the secret to making the most of your day?

YOU are the secret. Everything is just a possibility until a decision is made. And the decision is YOURS. So how are you deciding to think, feel, and behave upon waking? Begin to develop what is called your self-witnessing consciousness.  Just take notice - do you begin to create a positive momentum, or perhaps a negative one? The power to create begins with you.

So, you’ve done your homework, you took notice and were surprised at just how negative your initial movements of mind, emotions and behaviour have been.  Now what? Change them. Now that you’re aware, make a conscious effort to think, feel and do something different. Mix it up. Break the pattern.

Change your attention

Deliberately think about something that is positive to you - no matter how small you feel it may be.  And it could be anything. What makes you smile?

Placing your hand on your heart can help to think of something more aligned with positivity. Feel that positivity and do something that is a contribution to you. Overtime, make more positive morning changes. Then one morning, your own smile will greet you.
