Would we have an epidemic of Mental Health if we weren’t so mental?
Connect to your heart
This is an interesting question when observed form the heart’s perspective. To get straight to the point, modern humanity is existing through the head predominantly and many of us are disconnected from our hearts. This misalignment has not only led to a breakdown in our emotional wellbeing but also a disconnect from one-another.
It’s time we stepped up to the plate, show our vulnerability, our strength, and reconnect both internally and externally. Humans are not designed for separation. Not from one another and especially not from our hearts.
Did you know that your heart was the first organ to develop as a fetus? And that humanity has always understood the heart to represent love. You were love before you were anything else.
It is our heart that literally regulates how we feel. Put simply, the brain interprets its rhythm as our emotional state. Of course there are many things which can influence our emotions. Chemicals for example - both those naturally produced by the body and the unnatural ones found in things we choose to ingest. But the most powerful way to positively influence how you feel is to connect to your heart. Not just your head.
The heart is an organ of immense power. Why do we take it for granted? Besides keeping us alive, it is the organ producing our largest electromagnetic field enveloping our physical bodies and connecting us to the field of everything that is our existence. All of this takes place on an unseen energetic level.
Connecting to the field of everything is not a new concept. Ancient cultures all over the world lived with a conscious connection to the unseen. The energy never left or somehow dissolved over time. It’s still there. We just chose to forget about it. But its now time to remember. We are all connected to this field of everything. And it is because of our heart that there is no separation. Physically it may appear otherwise, but energetically our existence tells a very different story.
Love makes up our core and our essence. This is why it feels so good when we have love in our lives and why it feels so bad when we believe we don’t. And there is so much more to learn. Its not what we think. Love is not what we see in Hollywood romantic comedies. Its energy. And it is not a noun - it’s a verb. But in order to engage with its limitless energetic potential we need to lose our judgement, let go of our ego, acknowledge our fear and be vulnerable.
The heart and mind are part of a vital network. If we rely on the mind alone, we are still only operating at less than 50%, ignoring that greater and intuitive part of ourselves. So be curious. Be courageous. Connect to your heart. And discover more of who you REALLY are.
